The studio was set up in June 2000, one of the first digital studios in Sussex, prior to this, I worked at one of the countries leading commercial / advertising studios, for just under 24 years! (now that sounds like a long time!)
I joined them in June 1976, straight from school at the age of 16, starting on the bottom rung  of the ladder, making coffee, sweeping studio floors, mixing chemicals, etc. progressing to black & white and colour print processing (this was 'handline' processing in baskets and deep tanks, in total darkness.)

I studied a day release course at Brighton Polytechnic, failing the City & Guilds 744 General Photography course after 2 years! (well, I just hated all that theory!) Anyway, I learnt much more at the studio assisting, than I ever did at college.

Progressing forward to hand printing and processing quantity runs of black & white prints (dish processing 20 prints at a time in a 'dish line' process) and then to colour printing, film duplicating, E3, E4, E6 and C41 film processing and monitoring, including densitometry and just about anything else there was to learn in a busy advertising studio. Finally taking over the position of 2nd photographer in 1989. Gaining many awards for both printing and photography including the prestigious title of 'Ilford Photographer of the Year ' a Nationally recognised award of excellence!.

Finally leaving ithe comfort of this employment in june 2000,  I now combine digital photography with ecommerce web technology for many of my clients.

This website has been created to showcase some of my private 'art' images, in the hope that others might like my work and that this website might be the start of something more relaxing and enjoyable. than commercial photography.
